My tonsil story.....

I am happy to report that Samantha has finally gotten her tonsils out. If anyone knows her, you know that she has had tons of sick days at school all due to strep throat! It was so frustrating to keep going back to the doctor over and over again and not be able to get them out. Which by the way, it is harder and harder these days to get them out. Even the ENT specialist was like " well you can get them out if you want." If I want, if I want...of course I want them out! Why would I be there? Samantha was excited for the day to come and we have been reading all about the surgery and procedure. I also told her my story of when I got my tonsils out. I thought she was prepared and she was, but apparently not for the aftermath. Walking up the hall after the surgery was a loud cry. I felt horrible and tried to calm her down the best I could. Finally the nurse gave her more meds thru an i.v. which sent her to sleepy land.

Now, since this is a blog about Samantha she would like me to show all pictures, including the tonsils themselves. So, if you have a weak stomach, then scroll down fast, otherwise here are some pics of the day.

One of the doctors for the surgery. He was the anestheseologist. He gave the option of laughing gas or smelly pizza. LOL!!

I'm so glad you posted the nasty picture...I think that's so cool! She is such a trooper, I bet your so glad that's over. Since I got mine out in October...I have only gotten sick once, and it wasn't strep! I wish you fantastic (strep-free) days ahead. (ps-thanks for your comment, you are too nice!)

So happy that it's finally over. No more strep, yeah! She looks really good and I know that she will feel better soon.

I can't believe how big they were. I am glad it is over for her and you. I also can't believe she is smiling in the wheel chair. She is too cute.
